It’s that time of year again! spoKe 8 is the latest edition of our Boston-based poetry annual. We will launch the issue at the Grolier on December 10, 2021 with live readings by Carol Weston, Philip Nikolayev, and more! The event will be hybrid – both live in the Grolier Bookshop, and streaming over Zoom. See below for full details.

Launch for spoKe 7!

We are thrilled to announce spoKe 7, the latest edition of our Boston-based poetry annual. We will launch the issue – our largest ever! – virtually on Thursday, December 17, 7:00pm EST. The event will feature readings by Muhammad Shahid Alam, Oksana Lutsyshyna, Olena Jennings, and Christina Davis. It will be hosted by Kevin Gallagher and the Grolier Poetry Bookshop. Register here!

In addition to these four contributors, plus a few bonus readers, spoKe 7 features work by Russell Edison, Fanny Howe, D. Eric Parkison, and Tuệ Sỹ. We are honored to also publish work by Grolier’s Ifeanyi Menkiti, to whose life we dedicate this issue.

Launch for Issue 5!

We are excited to announce the FIFTH issue of spoKe, a Boston-based poetry annual. We will launch the issue with an event at the Grolier Poetry Bookshop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7th at 7:00pm. The event will feature readings by Patrick Sylvain, Audrey Mardavich, D. Eric Parkison, and Erin Goodman who will be reading from her Jorge  Olivero Castillo translations. Grolier Poetry Bookshop is located at 6 Plympton Street in Cambridge, MA.

In addition to these four contributors, spoKe 5 features work by Alfred Corn, Anna McDonald, John Perrault, and Emily Van Kley. We are honored to publish letters by Larry Eigner, to whose work we dedicate this issue.
