We are thrilled to announce the fourth issue of spoKe, a Boston-based poetry annual. We launch this issue with readings by Sue Standing, Ruth Lepson, and Marc Vincenz at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 17 at 7:00 pm at the Grolier Poetry Bookshop. Marc Vincenz will read his own poetry and his translations of work by Swiss poet Alexander Xaver Gwerder. Ruth Lepson will read from essays by Bill Berkson, and Sue Standing will read her own work featured in the issue. Grolier Poetry Bookshop is located at 6 Plympton Street in Cambridge, MA.
In addition to these poets, spoKe 4 features work by Ron Padgett, Sara Rivera, Ben Mazer, and Meg Tyler. We are honored to publish work by the late Bill Berkson, to whose life and work we dedicate this issue.
We are also pleased to include an examination and tribute to Boston native V.R. “Bunny” Lang, a feature that includes her poetry, rare photographs, and essays by Bill Corbett, Andrew Epstein, and Allison Vanouse.
Please join us on February 17 at the Grolier! Issues will be available at the reading and on Amazon, Lulu, and here on the spoKe website.
